Radical: INNER FREEDOM
A few nuggets of wisdom about attaining inner freedom. When there's no fear left lurking in the dark corners of our minds, we are truly awake to the joy of life.

Clearing Offers Peace
I’m leaning into the theme of radical living this year. The word radical reminds us that to make effective, positive change in our lives, we must frequently assess our most fundamental beliefs about ourselves and the world.
This can be an uncomfortable process. And, it doesn’t happen overnight.
I have a fear of being seen as imperfect and judged for my faults. The deeper part of that is my fear of rejection keeps me from sharing the fullness of who I am. I protect myself by not speaking my truth and trying to please others.
I’ve made a commitment to myself to let go of that belief.
This is inner freedom.
The beautiful outcome of exposing those less-than-desirable parts of ourselves is that it no longer holds power over us. Especially when we share it with those we trust. Instead, we’re freed to focus on those relationships, values, and aspirations that light us up inside. We have room for joy in each present-moment experience.
Want to know the best way to find your inner freedom?
Stop avoiding, denying, or trying to control your emotions.
Sit with them. By this I mean, notice and acknowledge whatever the underlying feeling is that rides just beneath the surface. Get curious about when and where it showed up in your life. Write it down. Study it. Ask yourself if you need some sort of closure. What does that look like and mean to you?
Importantly, offer yourself grace in place of judgment. Visualize what it would feel like to be free of inner turmoil. Really embody the sensation of liberation.
The more you practice this awareness, the stronger you will become. Start with 5 minutes of reflection at the end of each day. Make it part of your nighttime ritual as you power down and ready your mind for rest. This cue lets your body know it's in a safe space and you'll have a full night's sleep to integrate your reflections into your subconscious.
Hope, peace, and contentment are the gifts that will rise to be your guiding forces as you embrace your inner freedom.
