Idolatry is a smokescreen. Worshipping perfection distracts us from the real work of putting ourselves out into the world. I spent many years in an echo chamber as I helped others follow their dreams while neglecting mine—getting a rush of adrenaline every time I participated in dream chasing by proxy.
